The brief:
To support the set up a new sports project targeting young people with mental health problems
The work:
After being successfully awarded funding via a Suffolk County Council led bid to the Sport England ‘Get Healthy Get into Sport’ funding round, Abbeycroft Leisure appointed Bavester Associates to support the set up and launch of their proposed ‘Stand Tall’ project. The project was designed to engage inactive young people with mental health issues in the sport of boxing to support them improve and enhance their wellbeing. The outcome:
The project has now successfully launched and is working with an increasing number of young people with positive outcomes
